S UBJECT : WORKING GROUP STANDARD METHOD PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS ____________________________________________________________________________

BACKGROUND: The Chairs of the currently active working groups (Anthocyanins Working Group, Dana Krueger; Chondroitin Working Group, Jana Hildreth; and PDE5 Inhibitors Working Group, Katerina Mastovska) will introduce SPDS to the members of the working groups; provide a synopsis of the group’s deliberations as well as present the recommendations of the working groups for SPDS consideration.

RECOMMENDATION FOR ACTION BY SPDS:

• MOTION to accept the Standard Method Performance Requirements for Authentication of Selected Vaccinium Species in Dietary Supplements and Ingredients as presented. • MOTION to accept the Standard Method Performance Requirements for: o Screening Method for Selected Adulterants in Dietary Ingredients and Supplements o Determination of Total Chondroitin Sulfate • MOTION to accept the Standard Method Requirements for: o Identification of PDE5 Inhibitors o Screening Method for PDE5 Inhibitors o Determination of PDE5 Inhibitors ATTACHMENTS: 1.
