Annual Events and Highlights There are plenty of events which will take place every year in Frankfurt, the following is only a rough guideline (www.frankfurt-interaktiv.de/frankfurt/adressen/feste): + “ Dippemess ” – Former traditional folk fair and now fun fair at the Festplatz am Ratsweg , carnival rides and pottery market, usually three weeks around Easter (www.dippemess.de) + Opernplatzfest – Summer Festival around the Alte Oper offering various international cuisine, one week in June (www.opernplatzfest.de) + Höchster Schlossfest – Höchst Castle Festival with medieval character in the old town of Höchst in June (www.schloss-fest.de) + Mainfest – Main Festival along the river embankment and the Römerberg with lots of stalls and fun fair, in July (www.mainfest.de) + Museumsuferfest – Museum Embankment Festival along the river embankment at the end of August, an annual highlight with numerous attractions and stalls along the river Main on both banks.
