Architect CALIFORNIA

Michael Broadbent trained as an architect before he became a winemaker in England in the 1960s. He knew the importance of structure, balance and beauty well before becoming a Master of Wine. His large legacy of art, whether it be architectural, portraiture, landscapes or technical drawings, gives a clear insight into his attention to detail. Architect Cabernet Sauvignon Alexander Valley 12/750ML Auctioneer CALIFORNIA • Tribute to Michael Broadbent, the iconic auctioneer of Christie’s • Wines of elegance and sophistication The Auctioneer wine is a tribute to Michael Broadbent, the auctioneer. Michael led the first auction devoted to wine as the Head of Christie’s Wine Department in 1966, and after this developed wine auctions all over the world. Michael was also an enormous fan of Napa Valley’s early wines. The Auctioneer strives to bring back the elegance, restraint, sophistication and harmony of those early Napa wines. Auctioneer Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley 12/750ML Barboursville Vineyards is Virginia’s first wine estate to be dedicated to growing European, vitis vinifera wine varietals in Virginia.
