WESSA Schools Programme Impact Report 2020

Charterhouse Schools

Roodepoort, Gauteng

At Charterhouse Schools we started our eco-journey with WESSA in 2010.

Our school in Roodepoort began in 1976 as a pre-primary but today consists of three campuses, at which we enrol pre-primary to Grade 7 learners. Committed to environmental sustainability, our learners enjoy nature’s energy source, taking comfortable morning swims in the school’s solar heated pool!

SCHOOL GARDENING PROJECTS

ECO-PROJECTS Charterhouse uses an online tool called Go-Lab, which aims to equip our children with awareness of global technology trends while integrating 21st century skills. These skills are built on using the United Nation’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals to address the global needs of the present as well as the future.

We have many exciting projects including a vegetable garden , started in2010aspart of our Footprint Club activities.
