Using the previous example, if students have unfinished learning of RI.6.4, the best instruction would be to teach it with RI.7.4, when it appears in the seventh grade map. ● When possible, collaboration with previous grade level teachers may provide a starting point for pre-assessment. ● Identify common trends with current IPLCs and plan for instruction to fill the gaps and finish the learning.
