Robert Ragan (Abbott Nutrition): 1) Proposes removing the scFOS example (structures) since it implies these are the only species that are captured by the method? 2) Asks: Why are check samples or standards not included at the upper end of the analytical range but are at the lowest and midrange? He proposes checks at all 3 levels. Remarks: scFOS Examples: • It was agreed at the previous meeting to change the example structures. I propose 2 more general stuctures: (ß-D-Fru f -(2→1)) n -ß-D-Fru f -(2↔1)-α-D- Glc p and (ß-D-Fru f -(2→1)) n -(2 Æ 1)-D-Fru f where n≥1 Check Standards • This is a general sentence in all the SMPRs, but why not add a check standard at high level.
