Sandvik’s new tube mill in Sweden for hydraulic and instrumentation tubing has achieved the qualification for type Sandvik 254 SMO for its full range production programme in the new mill. “To qualify against NORSOK is a milestone and a prerequisite to be a serious player in the oil and gas market, especially in the North Sea region,” said Andreas Furukrona, global product manager for hydraulic and instrumentation tubing at Sandvik. “We already have NORSOK approval for tubes in larger dimensions and now we are filling the gap for smaller dimensions. ТМК, a producer of tubular products for the oil and gas industry, has received an official notice of product approval from Abu Dhabi Company for Offshore Oil Operations (ADCO). Volzhsky Pipe Plant (VTZ), a TMK subsidiary, was acknowledged by ADCO as an approved vendor of threaded pipes with TMK PF premium connections. ADCO is one of the largest oil producers in the Middle East, running onshore and offshore operations in Abu Dhabi, UAE.
