AASHTO approval for HP storm pipe Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc (ADS) has announced that its HP Storm pipe meets the new requirements of AASHTO M330 for use in culvert and storm sewer pipe projects. This new specification pertains specifically to HP Storm pipe, 12" to 60" dual and triple wall. Both public and private specifying agencies rely on the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials (AASHTO) for product specifications such as pipe for use in transportation infrastructure projects. storm water projects. The product offers premium joint performance, enhanced stiffness over traditional storm sewer products, increased longitudinal beam strength, and chemical, stress crack and abrasion resistance. The pipe is manufactured from impact- modified copolymer polypropylene

resin. The HP Storm’s smooth interior wall promotes flow rates while its corrugated structure maximises stiffness and strength. All HP Storm pipe diameters feature an extended integral bell and spigot joint with dual gaskets and polymer reinforcement for maximum joint integrity. The pipe is available in 6m (20ft) and 3.9m (13ft) lay lengths to accommodate various trench box dimensions. Founded in 1966, ADS serves the storm and waste water industry through a global network of 56 domestic and international manufacturing plants and more than 28 distribution centres. Mini-roll pipe stand Sumner Manufacturing has introduced the new Mini-Roll pipe stand for welders. Mini-Rolls

are available as a stand only, or with any of six different quick-change roller housings: steel wheels, stainless steel wheels, ball transfer heads, stainless steel ball transfers heads, rubber wheels or bar stock head.

The Mini-Roll is a compact, one-piece unit that is 18.4cm (7¼") high, with a weight capacity of 1,580kg (3,500lb), and pipe diameter capacity up to 900mm (36"). Based on Sumner’s Adjust-A-Roll platform, the Mini-Roll utilises quick- change roller housings, is adjustable from either side, and has brake locks on steel wheels for layout or fit-up work. “The Mini-Roll was designed to provide a more ergonomically sound platform for large pipe welding,” stated national sales manager Brendan Conway. “The one-piece, compact design and interchangeable quick-change roller housings make the Mini-Roll both simple and versatile for the large pipe welder.”
