High purity pipework range expands ventilation solutions portfolio

where exceptional air purity is required, such as the nuclear sector and the pharmaceuticals industry. The addition of high purity pipework will enable us to broaden our offer to existing clients and prospects in these sectors, and in other industries where the same exceptional quality and purity is paramount.” Hargreaves has experience working in market sectors such as LGN, life sciences, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, micro-electrical, nuclear, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, power generation, refinery, research labs, semiconductors and waste water treatment.

Welding of the pipework is carried out in accordance with ASME BPE 2002 and B31.3 standards. Orbital welders at the facility operate in ranges from ¼" to 6" for stainless steel pipe, and 20 to 315mm for PVDF. According to Hargreaves, the launch of the product range is a logical extension to its existing high integrity ventilation solutions portfolio. Managing director Tim Hopkinson commented, “The Hargreaves name is synonymous with ventilation, and we have earned a reputation for delivering high quality air movement and ventilation solutions in the most demanding conditions. In particular we have extensive experience of working in carefully controlled environments

Hargreaves, a provider of air movement and ventilation ductwork solutions, has launched a high purity pipework range. The core product range consists of high purity stainless steel pipe, and is also available in PVDF and copper. It is manufactured in a class 100 (IOS 4/5) cleanroom facility near Darlington, UK, to strict quality assurance standards, incorporating separate access and exits for PVDF, copper and stainless steel, dedicated areas for preparation and welding, and storage for completed spools within the clean room. Hargreaves also offers a range of additional components, including isolation valves, instrumentation, sight glasses, safety valves and filters.

Boss 11XS non-return valve

The Boss 11XS range features both single and double non-return valves that can be used on chilled water, heating, potable water, and hot and cold water services in both commercial and industrial applications. Both models are spring-loaded and axially guided with a resilient sealing mechanism. The Boss 11XS single and double non- return valve range is available in eight different sizes up to 250mm. It has WRAS approval and promises durability through its UK-manufactured cast iron body. The valves can operate at a maximum pressure of 16 bar and a maximum temperature of 95°C. Dave Broughton, national sales manager of Boss valves, commented, “Non-return valves form a crucial part of many pumped water systems in a variety of applications. Given the costly consequences of a non-return valve failure, we thought it was important
