USD ANNOUNCES NURSING SCHOOL ARCHITECT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Jack Boyce, Vice President for Financial Affairs at the University of San Diego, announced that the architectural firm of Tucker, Sadl~r and Associates has been selected to design the building for the Hahn School of Nursing and Allied Health Science. The two– storied building will be constructed on the Alcala Park campus across from Founders Hall. Groundbreaking is planned for June, 1977. Classes in the new building are planned for the summer of 1978. USD recently received a grant from HEW for $1,080,126 for construction purposes. The building will consist of 19, square feet of classroom and office space as well as an auditorium which will seat 150. Architecturally, it will follow the Spanish Renaissance design of existing campus buildings. # # # #
