The splice is right with Sonobond

SpliceRite™ ultrasonic wire splicer from Sonobond Ultrasonics is designed to create perfect solid-state metallurgical bonds using the lowest possible voltage drop and minimum energy consumption. The unit eliminates the need for clipping, soldering, crimping, or dipping, quickly splicing wire bundles without producing arcs, sparks or fumes, or melting the wires. It will accommodate tinned or heavily oxidized wires and is available in 1,500 and 2,500 watts power capacities. SpliceRite features Sonobond's patented Wedge-Reed system, combining high vibratory force with low amplitude coupling. It enables the unit to direct high frequency ultrasonic energy via a welding tip to the surface between the metals to be welded. The vibratory energy disperses the oxides and surface films between the work pieces. A true metallurgical bond is then created without melting the materials. All Sonobond metal welders, including the SpliceRite ultrasonic wire splicer, feature heat-treated, tool steel taper lock tips. These tips can last for up to 300,000 welds and permit quick tooling changes. Sonobond ultrasonic welding units are environmentally friendly, economical and produce no waste, with the additional benefit of being easy to operate with only minimal training.
