New pipe chamfering machine MF2-25

DWT is a manufacturer of portable pipe chamfering machines and offers specialised equipment for on- site operations, maintenance and production of boiler panels for water wall boilers. Deutsche Babcock, a German boiler manufacturer, developed the portable pipe chamfering machines for the need and with the experience of their own people on-site. Consequently the machines are constructed in a very sophisticated manner. The most important advantages are: very low weight and ergonomic; special applications for boiler tubes; high effectivity and power; and long lifetime. Using the new machine MF2-25 boiler tube chamfering of tube and fin in a simultaneous operation at a steam boiler panel wall is possible. The machine can be operated with pneumatic or electric motor and uses crown milling pipe cutters for this special operation.

significantly influences the quality of the welding junction. Automatic orbital welding technology is getting more and more common, which requires a perfect and effective weld preparation by use of mechanised pipe weld preparation.

Especially for supercritical boilers with smaller pipes but high wall-thickness the machine is outperforming, because the pipe chamfering machine clamps the pipe from outside and gives the best fixation for this operation.
