The video shows installation of the Gullane outfall. The floating out and lowering of these relatively short lengths of pipeline demonstrated that the new Flow-Lay system could be used for installation of flowlines. Two lines were installed: a long 273.1 mm by 1200 m (10¾ in by 3940 ft) outfall with a shorter 508.0 mm by 650 m (20 in by 2130 ft) storm water bypass line. For this particular installation, a midline tie in was used to connect the two lengths of 273.1 mm (10¾ in). However, the system is designed to install continuous lengths of flowline up to 10 km (6 miles).
