School of Social Sciences, Humanities andArts Presentation

Dean Jill Robbins will provide an overview of the opportunities that await you in the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts (SSHA). After her presentation, students will have the opportunity to explore SSHA’s many academic programs during breakout sessions led by faculty, who will talk in detail about each of the majors.

This workshop will provide an overview of student success resources that are designed to provide resources and skill-building opportunities for undergraduate scholars, with an emphasis on resources available for students who are Undeclared.

Student Success Services

Financial Aid advisors will discuss the various types of aid, the estimated costs to attend UC Merced and the financial support available to students and parents.

This workshop will familiarize first-generation students with the support that is available to them at UC Merced. Students will be introduced to the Bright Success Center, which facilitates various programs, services and opportunities to ensure academic and personal success at the University.

Special Populations

Admissions advisors will give advice on how to prepare for admission to the University of California. They will discuss course and examinations requirements, and how we consider your experiences beyond academics during our application selection process. They will also discuss the new personal insight questions and provide important dates and deadlines. Transfer Admissions advisors will give advice on how to prepare for admission to the University of California as a transfer student. They will discuss major preparation and admission requirements, and how we consider your experiences beyond academics during our application selection process. They will also discuss the new personal insight questions and provide important dates and deadlines.
