Side-Shooter 16/24 Tenders Willmar’s 16 ton (14,545 kg) and 24 ton (21,818 kg) side-shooting tenders can be either truck or trailer mounted* and can move up to two tons of material a minute. Contribut- ing to that efficiency are four or six compartment hoppers that can carry a variety of materials; steep, 40 degree, sloped sides for quick material dispensing; large-diameter, 10-inch (25.4 cm) augers and big hydraulic capacity. The 16-ton version holds an incredible 516 ft 3 (14.6 m 3 ) struck and 578 ft 3 (16.38 m 3 ) heaped while the 24-ton weighs in with a struck capacity of 774 ft 3 (21.9 m 3 ) and 867 ft 3 (24.6 m 3 ) heaped. Two stainless steel, gate control handles facilitate easy hopper unloading and a wide-mouthed bottom dump gate accommodates pit unloading. There are separate controls for on/off horizontal and side discharge, fold/unfold and raise/lower auger control. The one-piece, adjustable, swingaway auger engages with a spring-loaded back to eliminate spillage. The hydraulic drive with PTO-powered pump has a large, 25 gallon (94.6 L) hydraulic oil reservoir so you’ll always have power when you need it. *46,000 pound (20,909 kg) gross volume weight (GVW) truck or trailer require- ment, depending on model. Discharge rates range from 2,400 pounds (5,280 kg) of urea per minute to 4,000 pounds (8,800 kg) of potash per minute. The standard auger is 10 inches (25.4 cm) in diameter by 19 feet long (5.8 m) with a discharge height to 117.5 inches (2.98 m). A 21 foot long (6.4 m) auger with 117 inch (2.97 m) dis- charge height is also available. Auger on/off controls and raise/lower controls are lo- cated on the left rear corner of the tender.
