Over ten days, residents and visitors can enjoy a diverse program of activities designed to showcase the region’s natural beauty, creativity and culture. Last year’s festival featured more than 40 activations and attracted around 30,000 people, injecting an estimated $6.7 million into the local economy. The Esplanade - the Vibrant Heart of Terrigal

Central Coast Magazines Home & Lifestyle

A major public vision for the Central Coast’s cultural future has arrived with artist Steve Gorrow’s sweeping new mural honouring the natural beauty and creative spirit of Terrigal. Titled Welcome to The Esplanade, the mural celebrates Australian life, culture, and coastal identity. At its centre, a dramatic humpback whale breaches above Terrigal’s iconic Skillion and The Haven, anchoring the work in the region’s natural landscape. Surrounding it, Gorrow weaves together tributes to some of Australia’s most distinctive artistic voices. Nick Cave and his wife appear alongside Amy Taylor of Amyl and the Sniffers, while Australia’s first world surfing champion, Midget Farrelly, rides a wave across the abstract back wall — a symbol of momentum, resilience, and the act of riding through life. A galah perched among Norfolk pines adds a playful nod to local wildlife, while youthful messages such as New Heights with A, Peace, Amore, and Down Under thread through the mural, giving it an energetic, festive tone. The mural is also the most visible expression to date of The Esplanade Terrigal, a formally

incorporated precinct collective representing businesses along Terrigal Esplanade, Church Street, Pine Tree Lane, and surrounding streets. The collective brings together dining, culture, retail, and community across one of the Central Coast’s most iconic beachfront destinations, supported by a strong network of more than 200 local businesses. Founded and coordinated by Karl Schlothauer — CEO of House of Pocket and cofounder of YCK Laneways, Australia’s first Purple Flag accredited precinct — The Esplanade applies the same grassroots, collectivepowered model to Terrigal’s beachfront. Where YCK transformed Sydney CBD laneways into a nationally recognised entertainment district, The Esplanade aims to position Terrigal as the Central Coast’s premier lifestyle and cultural destination. “Terrigal has always had extraordinary natural assets and a brilliant community of small businesses,” Schlothauer said. “This mural signifies that something has shifted — a shared identity and a shared voice coming to life.” Karl says.

Use Glass, Not Plastic: The Hidden Dangers of Microplastics M icroplastics have quietly become one of the most pervasive contaminants in modern life. These tiny particles — often invisible to the eye — shed from plastic packaging, bottles, kitchenware, clothing, and even household dust. Once they enter the human body, they don’t simply pass through. They accumulate, interact with tissues, and carry chemical additives that can interfere with normal biological processes. Research now shows microplastics in blood, lungs, breast milk, the digestive tract, and even the placenta. Their size allows them to move through the bloodstream, triggering inflammation and oxidative stress. Over time, this can contribute to hormonal disruption, immune imbalance, and increased vulnerability to chronic disease. The concern isn’t one single exposure — it’s the daily drip of plastic particles from food, water, and household items. One of the biggest sources is drinking water stored or filtered through plastic. Heat, friction, and repeated use accelerate shedding, meaning every refill of a plastic bottle or jug can introduce thousands of particles. Even “BPA free” plastics still contain other chemical additives that leach into water. The safest alternative is simple: glass. Glass doesn’t shed, doesn’t leach, and doesn’t react with heat or acidity. It keeps water clean, stable, and free from chemical residues. Food packaging is another major contributor. Soft plastics around fruit, vegetables, bread, and ready to eat items release particles when flexed, cut, or exposed to warmth. While avoiding plastic entirely is unrealistic, transferring food into glass containers as soon as you bring it home dramatically reduces exposure. Small changes — glass storage jars, stainless steel drink bottles, ceramic or glass water purifiers — add up to meaningful protection. Did you know -Many tea bags contain hidden plastics that shed microplastics into hot water, adding to daily exposure. Choosing plastic free brands or loose leaf tea in glass avoids this contamination. Microplastics are now part of the environment, but they don’t have to be part of your daily routine. Choosing glass over plastic is one of the simplest, most effective ways to reduce your exposure and safeguard longterm health. It’s a gentle shift with a powerful impact: cleaner water, cleaner food, and a cleaner body.

Privacy with Style P rivacy screens are one of the simplest ways to transform an outdoor area, especially in homes where neighbours are close or the garden doubles as a place to relax. The newest designs aren’t just barriers — they’re decorative features. Organic cutout panels, like the sculptural screens shown here, add texture and interest while still giving you the comfort of separation. These patterned screens work beautifully in alfresco dining zones, courtyards and compact decks. Their irregular openings filter light in a soft, dappled way, creating shifting shadows across tables and seating. Instead of blocking the outdoors, they frame it. Breezes still move through, greenery remains visible, and the space feels connected rather than enclosed. For coastal homes or properties with borrowed views, decorative screens strike the ideal balance: privacy without losing the outlook. A single panel behind a dining setting can define an outdoor “room”, giving a sense of intimacy while keeping the atmosphere open

and airy. They’re also effective for softening boundary lines or disguising less attractive elements like fences or utilities. Material choice plays a big role. Powdercoated aluminium offers durability and low maintenance, while the intricate patterns bring a handcrafted feel. Paired with timber decking, modern chairs or even patterned stools, these screens become a focal point that elevates the entire space. Whether you’re blocking an overlooking window or creating a quiet corner for morning coffee, privacy screens deliver a big impact with minimal effort — turning everyday outdoor areas into stylish, sheltered retreats.

Our Coast, Our Waterways The Hawkesbury–Nepean river system is one of the Central Coast’s most cherished natural environments, supporting diverse ecosystems, cultural connections and recreation. Working with the NSW Government, six councils have developed a coordinated Coastal Management Program covering 145km of tidal waterways from Broken Bay to Yarramundi, including Pittwater and Brisbane Water. This shared approach strengthens how the river is cared for across council boundaries. Mayor Lawrie McKinna said the program unites councils with one goal — protecting the waterways that flow through all our communities, including Brisbane Water, Broken Bay, Umina, Pearl Beach, Patonga and Mangrove Creek.

Coastal Spring Awakening S pring on the Central Coast arrives with a quiet kind of magic. As the days warm and the light softens, the coastal heathlands begin their annual transformation, shifting from muted winter tones to a vivid tapestry of colour. These windswept, salt tolerant plant communities — found throughout Bouddi, Warrah Reserve, Girrakool and the Somersby Plateau — are home to an extraordinary diversity of native flora, many of which burst into bloom from late winter through early spring. Look closely and you’ll see the delicate pinks of boronias and eriostemons, the bright golds of dillwynias and pultenaeas, and the soft creams and yellows of grevilleas, gompholobiums and bossiaeas. Each species adds its own brushstroke to the landscape, creating a living mosaic that shifts with the season and the light. For plant lovers, it’s one of the most rewarding times to explore the bush. If you only make one nature walk this spring, let it be through the heath. The trails are gentle, the air is fragrant, and the wildflowers are at their peak. And for those who prefer to enjoy native beauty at home, local nurseries can guide you toward hardy coastal species that thrive in garden settings. This season, let the colours of the heathlands inspire you to slow down, wander, and reconnect with the natural beauty that surrounds us.

Backed by a limited five year warranty. A s the weather shifts and outdoor living becomes more inviting, nothing spoils a peaceful morning coffee or an alfresco dinner faster than flies, mozzies and sandflies. Screening an outdoor area is one of the simplest ways to reclaim comfort, creating a space that feels open to the breeze yet protected from the insects that arrive with warmer days. Modern screening solutions are far more refined than the old flywire enclosures of decades past. Today’s systems blend seamlessly into decks, patios and veranda’s, offering a light, airy barrier that keeps pests out without blocking views or airflow. Fine mesh screens remain the most reliable option, forming a physical shield against insects while still allowing natural ventilation. For homes near water or bushland, choosing a mesh with a tighter weave can help reduce sandflies and tiny seasonal pests. Retractable screens are increasingly popular for flexible outdoor living. They glide into place when needed — perfect for summer evenings when mozzies are most active — and disappear into slim housings when the weather cools. This versatility makes them ideal for alfresco dining zones, outdoor lounges and covered decks where you want protection without feeling enclosed. Supporting Your Ageing Dog D ogs generally enter their senior years between seven and twelve, depending on their size, with larger breeds ageing faster than smaller ones. As they move into this stage, their nutritional needs, comfort levels, and health risks begin to shift, and small adjustments can help them stay comfortable and confident.

For larger outdoor rooms, screened pergolas and fully enclosed patios create a true indoor outdoor hybrid. These spaces allow you to enjoy fresh air, natural light and garden views while keeping insects firmly outside. Paired with ceiling fans or gentle cross breezes, they stay comfortable even on humid days. Thoughtful screening doesn’t just improve comfort; it extends the usability of your outdoor areas across more months of the year. With the right materials and placement, you can enjoy long lunches, quiet reading nooks and evening gatherings without the constant interruption of buzzing, biting visitors — making every season feel more welcoming at home. interaction, and increased anxiety. Because conditions like thyroid disease, high blood pressure, dental pain, and arthritis can mimic these behaviours, veterinary assessment is important to rule out treatable causes. Hearing and vision loss are also common. Agerelated hearing loss is irreversible, but dogs adapt well when their environment is predictable. Some causes of vision loss, such as cataracts and glaucoma, can be treated if caught early, making regular checks worthwhile.

Their metabolism slows and muscle mass naturally decreases, and many become more selective with food as they age. Wet food is often easier for older dogs to eat and digest, helps tempt fussy appetites, and increases hydration, which is especially helpful for kidney and urinary health.

A simple way to support hydration and natural electrolytes is by boiling chicken breast in water to create a light broth. As the chicken cooks, minerals and amino acids infuse into the water, making it tasty, gentle, and easy for older dogs to digest. This warm broth can be especially helpful for dogs with little or no appetite, encouraging fluid intake when they won’t eat much else. Once cooked, remove the chicken and let the broth cool. Skimming off any fat that rises to the surface keeps it light, gentle on sensitive stomachs, and ideal for senior dogs who need hydration without heaviness.

The Correct Method for Laying a Perfect Floor C licktogether floorboards make installation look easy, but there are several crucial steps that DIYers — and even some nonspecialist installers — often miss. These details are what separate a floor you’ll love from one you’ll simply tolerate. Three critical points to get right 1. Level the subfloor properly A subfloor must be level within 3mm over a 3m span. Cracks or old grout don’t matter, but dips and high spots absolutely do — they’ll affect your floor the same way a leak affects a roof. Finding the low points is simple; fixing them is not. Levelling is a skilled job, and “almost” level isn’t good enough. 2. Allow expansion around every edge Every floating floor needs a proper expansion gap around the entire perimeter. The best approach is to remove and refit (or replace) skirting so the gap is neatly concealed. Where skirting or kickboards aren’t present, scotia or quad may be required. A gap around “most” of the floor isn’t sufficient and will cause issues later. 3. Tackle trims, doors and stairs with care Architraves, doorways and stair edges demand experience and the right tools. Poor cuts and patched gaps stand out immediately. While anyone can cut a 90° angle, very few homes have perfect angles — meaning extra measuring and careful trimming are essential to make everything look seamless. Our professional installers understand these details and focus on delivering a finish that’s a pleasure to live with. The cost of doing it right is small compared to the frustration of living with faults.

Choosing the right type of flooring Laminate: A quality laminate offers excellent scratch resistance, low maintenance, and highly realistic designs. Hybrid: Hybrid flooring is essentially a vinyl plank that can be installed as a floating floor, combining durability with easy installation. Engineered timber: Engineered timber gives you a genuine timber floor that can be sanded back in future years — without the high installation costs of solid timber. Online Art Courses, to Empower Individuals

A well organised laundry room can transform one of the most repetitive household tasks into something calmer, quicker, and far more enjoyable. Start with shelving. Open shelves are ideal in a laundry because they keep essentials visible and accessible. Folded towels, detergents, stain removers, and cleaning cloths all sit neatly on wire or timber shelves, making it easy to grab what you need without rummaging. Using matching containers or baskets helps unify. A simple hanging rod or hook rail is another practical addition. It’s ideal for air drying delicate shirts, keeping freshly ironed items crisp, or holding clothes that need steaming. Even one well placed rod or a compact air drying stand can cut down the constant back and forth between laundry, bathroom, and wardrobe, making the whole process feel more streamlined. Keep the benchtop clear. A clutter free surface makes sorting, folding, and treating stains far easier. If you don’t have a benchtop, a small portable folding table can serve the same purpose. For inspiration or affordable organising pieces, you can browse online — Amazon and eBay often have clever laundry carts, sorting baskets, and compact folding stations to suit any space. If space allows an ironing board stored vertically keeps the room tidy and prevents it from becoming a tripping hazard. Slimline boards or fold down wall mounted versions are excellent options for smaller laundries. Pairing this with a small shelf or basket for starch sprays, lint rollers, and cloths keeps everything organised and easy to find. Lighting also plays a big role. Natural light from a window brightens the room and helps with tasks like stain spotting, but if your laundry is enclosed, consider warm LED lighting to create a welcoming atmosphere. Adding greenery, even a single potted plant, instantly softens the room and brings a sense of freshness. Laundries can feel clinical, but a touch of green makes the space feel more lived in and pleasant to spend time in. With a few thoughtful touches, your laundry can become a calm, organised space that supports your daily routine rather than adding stress to it. A Tidy Laundry for Everyday Ease Her passionate, uplifting teaching style has resonated with thousands. Many students describe her courses as a refuge — a place to rekindle creativity, find confidence, and rediscover joy. “Students tell me it’s even improved their relationships, simply because they feel happier and more grounded,” Angela explains. Online courses start from $10, including her popular Art to Heal a Heart program. A monthly subscription option offers selfpaced learning plus weekly community video calls for support, connection, and guidance. More information: angemillerart.com.au F ormer university art teacher Angela Miller has created a unique suite of online art courses designed to support emotional wellbeing, creativity, and personal growth. Her approach goes far beyond traditional technique based classes. With a deep understanding of the human spirit, Angela uses art as a form of meditation and gentle therapy, guiding individuals to reconnect with intuition and express the language of the heart. Participants embark on a transformative journey of self discovery, healing, and rejuvenation — all from the comfort of their own home. Angela’s own creative process is entirely intuitive. She never begins with a plan; instead, she follows the colours and shapes that feel right in the moment, allowing each canvas to evolve naturally. This instinctive style is at the core of what she teaches. Art has long been recognised as a powerful therapeutic medium, helping people unlock emotion, restore balance, and find clarity. Research shows that the act of creating triggers a release of dopamine, serotonin, and endorphins — the body’s natural “happiness hormones.” These chemicals elevate mood, boost selfworth, and counteract stress and anxiety, offering a holistic way to support mental and emotional harmony. “Art has been my saving grace during the most challenging years of my life,” Angela says. “It’s not about the finished product, but the journey of selfdiscovery when art is used to heal and empower.”

PROUD TO BE PART OF SELLING HOUSES AUSTRALIA'S 200 TH EPISODE W hat an absolute honour it was to be part of the 200th episode of Selling Houses Australia at beautiful St Huberts Island. This wasn’t just any ordinary kitchen renovation — this was a massive project completed for an incredibly deserving family who are going through an unimaginable life hurdle. Being able to give back in a meaningful way and help transform their home was something very special for our entire team. The McCann family’s story is one that touched everyone involved. James and Amelia McCann are devoted paramedics who moved to the Central Coast for a relaxed family lifestyle with their three boys, but life changed dramatically when their young twin son, Pat, was diagnosed with a serious, undiagnosed medical condition requiring constant care. Their idyllic island home on St Huberts Island soon proved to be too far from vital Sydney medical services, and the constant trips to Westmead Children’s Hospital fractured the family and placed enormous financial strain on them. Unable to sell or afford updates, they desperately needed an intervention. We proudly donated the entire kitchen cabinetry — our time, materials, labour and countless hours behind the scenes — to help create a fresh start for this beautiful family. This project was jam packed with highend features

this project was next level, and we could not be prouder of what was achieved. These projects truly show what can happen when passionate people come together for something bigger than themselves. Thank you to everyone involved in helping us bring this magical transformation to life, and special mention to our amazing suppliers - Tesrol for supplying the doors and panels, and Nover for supplying all drawer hardware and the pullout bin system.

including custom cabinetry throughout, integrated fridges, a hidden laundry concealed behind oversized doors, appliance cabinetry with bifold systems, custom storage solutions and premium hardware finishes, all carefully planned down to the finest detail. A huge shoutout goes to our unbelievably talented cabinet maker Tim Gillmer, who manufactured all the carcasses and installed this kitchen in such a short timeframe, with incredible precision and craftmanship. A lthough largely overlooked, a range hood is actually one of the most important appliances in the kitchen. They are designed to remove odours, grease, heat and smoke and other pollutants that are released into the air while cooking. The most important job of the range hood is to improve the air quality of your kitchen. The polluted air is sucked through a motorized fan and is either carried outside or filtered and re-circulated. Without a range hood, you and your family will find yourself breathing in the aftermath of dinner, causing possible eye, nose, and throat irritation. In addition, vent hoods help prevent carbon monoxide poisoning. Studies show elevated levels of carbon monoxide in kitchens caused by using the stove without turning on the range hood. An overhead range hood offers additional lighting for food preparation and cooking. The proper lighting also makes clean-up easier and ensures removal of all that hard to see grease and grime. Lighting features can range from basic to state-of-the-art, depending on which model you choose. Stylish Upgrade - Range hoods are not only practical, but can also be a stylish addition to your kitchen. These days range hoods come in a wide variety of designs. Shop around to find the perfect fit for your budget, kitchen space, and personal style. A Good Investment - Real estate experts agree— if you are trying to sell your home make sure your kitchen is up to date. An attractive kitchen with modern appliances adds major resale value to your home. Choosing the right range hood can make a big difference in the look and feel of your kitchen. You will more than likely see a good return on this investment. Stay Comfortable - Cooking produces a lot of heat which can make a kitchen quite uncomfortable. Another great benefit of range hoods is the removal of excess heat and steam, providing a more pleasant cooking environment for the chef and the rest of the family. Less Kitchen Odour - Cooking smells can linger long after dinner is over. Turning on your range hood helps to keep your home smelling fresh. Proper ventilation also helps to prevent the growth of bacteria and mould, a definite plus for anyone with allergies or asthma. Extremely functional & Stunning showpieces

Start Making Good Fats part of your diet I n the world of nutrition, “fat” is no longer a dirty word. In fact, there’s a class of good fats—monounsaturated fatty acids (MUFAs) and polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs)— that are essential as part of a healthy, well-balanced diet. Even if you are good at avoiding or limiting less-healthy fats (trans fat and saturated fat), you likely aren’t consuming enough good fats each day. (About two-thirds of the fats you consume each day should be good fats.) Fortunately, it’s easy—and delicious: Use Plant based oils, Add Avocado to your meals, Put flaxseed in your smoothies or on your cereal, Add walnuts to cereal or salads, Add Almonds on top of your chicken, fish or casseroles, Spread Nut butter on your toast Cashew or Almond, Eat Salmon or Trout twice each week, Eat some olives in a salad or dish, Snack on seeds sunflower, pumpkin and sesame.

Eat the colours of a everyday Brightly coloured fruits and vegetables are rich in a wide variety of antioxidants that have a host of health benefits. The body produces its own antioxidants, but some people can become deficient. Eat these foods every day to ensure that you are getting everything you need for optimum health and wellbeing.

Red & Pink

Yellow & Orange

The main antioxidants found in orange fruits and vegetables are carotenoids which are also found in leafy green vegetables; these are a precursor to vitamin A, which is essential for healthy skin, eyes and mucous membranes which line the urinary, digestive and respiratory tracts. Diets rich in beta-carotene which gives this food their orange colour have been linked with a reduced risk of certain cancers and heart disease and play a role in immunity, bone health and age-related dementia.

Almost all red fruit and vegetables contain lycopene, which reduces the risk of prostate cancer, and promotes colon health. Berries are rich in ellagic acid, which supports the immune system, and have antiviral and antibacterial

qualities; so they also contain anthocyanins, which can help slow down the degenerative processes of ageing, providing protection against a number of cancers and cardiovascular disease, as well as showing antiviral and antibacterial properties.

Lutein, found in all dark green plant foods as well as yellow and orange fruits and vegetables, is important for healthy vision, and helps to prevent degeneration of the eyes, as well as the development of cataracts. Dark, leafy green vegetables are rich in carotenoids as well as zeaxanthin which may help to reduce the risk of certain types of cancer, such as breast and lung cancer, and may contribute to the prevention of heart disease and stroke. They also contain quercetin which can act as an anti-inflammatory.

Onions and garlic contain protective phytonutrients (plant nutrients) that can reduce the risk of cancer; these include quercetin and allicin, which are known to kill harmful bacteria and protect the capillaries. Mushrooms are high in antioxidant polyphenols, which are known to reduce the risk of heart disease, while cauliflower contains compounds such as glucosinolates and thiocyanates that can protect against heart disease, cancer, digestive disorders and obesity. Oats and flaxseed contain lignin, which is known to lower cholesterol, prevent kidney disease and balance hormones during menopause, while nuts

blackberries contain ellagic acid and catechins, which can help to prevent cancer. Rich in anthocyanins, purple and blue foods can also reduce the risk of cancer, improve the health of your urinary tract and encourage healthy memory and ageing. Blueberries, in particular, have been proven to reduce mental health decline including Alzheimer’s and protect against inflammation.

Lakenhaven Cinema to re-open soon C entral Coast Council is pleased to announce that Regional Cinemas Australia has been selected as the new operator of Lake Haven Cinemas, marking an important step towards reopening the much-loved community facility. The appointment follows an extensive expression of interest and assessment process to secure an experienced operator capable of delivering a quality cinema experience for residents and visitors. Council Mayor, Lawrie McKinna said the appointment of a new operator for Lake Haven Cinemas was welcome news for the community, which has been eagerly awaiting the cinema’s return. “We know how much the community values the cinema at Lake Haven, and we’re excited to see it reopening soon,” Mayor McKinna said. “Getting this important community facility back up and running has been a priority for Council. This is a significant milestone and an important step towards welcoming moviegoers back to Lake Haven.” Following Council’s decision at the January 2026 Ordinary Council Meeting to enter into a seven-year lease, Regional Cinemas Australia has signed the agreement and is looking to reopen cinema doors for the school holidays in September. Further information about opening dates, programming and ticket sales will be announced by the operator.

opportunity to replace older, inefficient top loading machines with a modern, water smart front loader. After exchanging 11,800 machines since 2025, this new round aims to help even more low income households reduce water use, cut energy bills, and ease everyday cost of living pressures. Eligible applicants pay $250 for a brand new LG 8kg Series 3 Front Load Washer, including delivery, installation, and a two year warranty. For many families across the Central Coast, this represents a significant saving, especially when older top loaders can be heavy on water and electricity. The selected model uses 68 litres per cycle and carries 4.5 star water and energy ratings, making it one of the most efficient machines available in its class. This initiative is part of the NSW Water Strategy, targeting household level water savings. By upgrading, households can expect to save around $300 per year on water, energy, and detergent costs, with water savings of approximately 20 kilolitres annually. Applying is straightforward: check eligibility, submit an application online, and arrange delivery to your home. The machine is installed for you, and your old top loader is removed as part of the service. Accessibility support is also available through the National Relay Service for those who need assistance communicating by phone. Strong Bones, Strong Future: Why Osteoporosis Deserves Your Attention O steoporosis — it sounds like something that happens only to your nan after not getting enough sunlight, right? Not so. Right here in Australia, this “silent” condition is quietly eroding the health of hundreds of thousands of people, and not just the elderly. According to the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare, around 853,600 Australians aged 50 and over are living with diagnosed osteoporosis or osteopenia (low bone density). That’s roughly one in four older Australians, and many more remain undiagnosed until something breaks, literally. That number increases to 2 in 3 Australians over the age of 60. By 2033, Healthy Bones Australia projects that 7.7 million people aged 50+ will have osteoporosis or osteopenia. It’s an alarming trajectory that signals a growing public health crisis, particularly for women after menopause and older men who often assume they’re not at risk. The real danger isn’t the bone loss itself; it’s the fractures that follow. A simple fall from standing height can shatter a hip, wrist or spine, setting off a devastating chain of events. Hip fractures are especially serious. The Australian Commission on Safety and Quality in Health Care (ACSQHC) reports that people who sustain a hip fracture are over 3.5 times more likely to die within 12 months than those who haven’t been injured. For many, the injury triggers a loss of independence, confidence

and mobility that can be difficult, if not impossible, to recover from. So, what’s going on here? Bone loss is a normal part of ageing, but lifestyle and hormonal changes can accelerate it. After menopause, women’s oestrogen levels drop sharply, speeding up bone breakdown. Men experience gradual bone loss too, though often later in life. Add in sedentary habits, poor nutrition, low vitamin D, smoking, various cancer treatments, or long-term steroid use, and your bone density can plummet before you even notice. Osteoporosis is typically considered manageable rather than fully reversible, but in some cases, significant improvement and partial reversal of bone loss can occur with proper treatment and lifestyle changes That’s where The Bone Lab at Conveniently Active comes in. This specialised bone health program, designed by Accredited Exercise Physiologists, focuses on evidence-based prevention and rehabilitation for osteoporosis and osteopenia. The Bone Lab’s approach includes progressive strength training, balance and fall-prevention exercises, education on bone-supportive nutrition, and a one-on-one assessment to understand your individuals’ challenges and goals. It’s not just about protecting your bones; it’s about protecting your lifestyle. Whether you’re a 50-year-old rediscovering fitness, a retiree wanting to stay independent, or someone managing chronic pain or post-menopausal changes, investing in your bone health today can mean freedom, confidence and movement for years to come. Because at the end of the day, strong bones

don’t just help you stand taller — they help you live longer. And that’s a message worth standing up for.
