Historic New England Guide and Curator of the Standish Historical Society, Charles Ruby, leads a special tour of two Maine historic treasures: theMarrett House and theMuseumof the Standish Historical Society, now located at the Tompson House. Tour will begin at the Marrett House at 40 Ossippee Trail East in Standish. Parking available at Marrett House. Registration required. Date: Thursday, 9/20/18 Time: 3:00 – 5:00 pm Cost: Free, but a donation to the Standish Historical Society is encouraged.

FALL CHAIRLIFT RIDE AT SHAWNEE PEAK Enjoy the panoramic views of the lakes and mountains of Western Maine and the Presidential Range of NH including Mount Washington from the top of Shawnee Peak. After our chairlift ride and taking in the views towering 1,300 feet above Moose Pond, we’ll continue to Bridgton for lunch at a local restaurant. Please note activity level includes some stairs and approximately 200 feet to walk to the chairlift. Date: Wednesday, 9/19/18 Time: Depart 8:45 am. Return 3:00 pm. Cost: $23
