Marie Roberts—instructors cannot add additional testing time in SmarterProctoring to make accommodations if the students have already scheduled appointments. Appointment has to be cancelled before changes can be made.

3. ProctorU—ProctorU’s authentication process requires three steps: (1) government or school issued photo ID, (2) photo taken, (3) Authentication Quiz: Similar to the quiz you take if you lose your credit card. We have the option to not use authentication test and let students take a keystroke quiz. Students may be allowed to take exam if they fail authentication quiz. What should ProctorU do if a student is caught cheating? No second chance on obvious cheating. Autograded assignments that are already recorded in gradebook are hard to change. We need to come up with Rules of Engagement for ProctorU. Brandi McCraw will begin work on Rules of Engagement for ProctorU. For schools using ProctorU, do you want PU enabled for all of your exams? Jason will need to run a report to ensure it is turned on for all exams created before ProctorU was set up. Shalon will move forward to have SP turn on ProctorU for all exams for the schools that are choosing to us ProctorU. Also, we need to test cross listed students to be sure that they get host rules. For example, a JCJC student in a Holmes course should get the JCJC proctor settings (host settings) even if the Holmes settings are different. Also, regarding ProctorU authentication, if consortium agrees to it, students may be permitted to test even if they fail the Authentication Quiz. The Authentication Quiz is the 3rd authentication option for ProctorU. The first is a photo ID, second is that ProctorU takes a photo, and 3rd is an authentication quiz.

The support services committee will work through the institution proctor rules, consortium wide.

Can exam be reopened if necessary?

 If a student doesn’t have a working microphone and we can’t resolve issue, would you like them to reschedule or continue with exam?
