MELA Meeting Minutes 2018

 We typically allow 2 authentication attempts with authentication quiz or keystroke. Which would you prefer and is this number of attempts acceptable?  If the student fails all attempts, we typically check a 2 nd form of ID and continue. Lack of 2 nd form of ID would result in an incident report, but we would allow the test taker to continue.  Who should we reach out to if there is a password or exam issue?  Who should we notify of academic integrity incidents?  If we suspect a test taker of breaching academic integrity we would document the behavior and terminate the exam. Is this correct? B. Krista: a. MACJC eBooks—this is not to imply that we are having issues with ebooks and the value they bring to students. Solely concerned with not being able to charge shared students and potential loss of revenue to institutions and vendors for using ebooks. Twelve of the fifteen schools are using ebooks. No changes should take place until we can find a resolution. Dr. Stewart will be bringing this up to discuss with the Presidents.
