The article of Mgr. Jiří Pokorný, Ph.D. deals with the issue of the International Renewable Energy Agency – probably one of the youngest international energy organization. The aim of the article is to introduce this organization and show its international importance in the area of renewable energy sources and also possibilities and related benefits Czech Republic´s membership. In the article is also mentioned author’s idea of the following development of IRENA on the international level. Our guests from Polish Academy of Science Prof. Wojciech Radecki and Mgr. Daria Danecka presents one solution on the basis of the Polish Nature Protection Act passed on 16th April 2004, which was amended firstly by the Act passed on 16th December 2016 and secondly by the Act passed on 11thMay 2017. The first amendment has exempted private owners of real estates from a duty to obtain the permission for removing trees and bushes from the real estate. The consequence was massacre trees and bushes growing on private real estates. The second amendment frankly speaking introduced a duty to put forward intention to remove trees with possibility to raise an objection by the organ od nature pro- tection, but this solution is insufficient and means weaking of protection of trees and bushes. In the new section of our Journal “Students research window” we give the opportunity to publish to young authors, students of universities. Today, first author, Jan Šeba, winner of Docent Zdeněk Madar Award, fromCharles Universi- ty in Prague, writes about the Climate Change before the Court: Case of Urgenda Foundation against the State of the Netherlands. Also, in the current issue of the journal Czech Environmental Law Review we bring to you some information about the new judgement of the EU Court of Justice concerning the logging of the trees in Bialowieza Forest, new judgement of the Constitutional Court of the Czech Republic, or the peer-review of the new books from environmental law.
