THE NEW LEGAL REGULATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE PUNISHMENT IN THE FIELD OF ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION Abstract The article deals with the new legal regulation of administrative punish- ment. The article aims to introduce such regulatory issue from the environmen- tal law point of view and to consider potency of the new regulation in the field of environmental protection. The new administrative liability act unites the exist- ing forms of administrative delictual liability and introduces the term ‚offense‘ for the administrative liability of individuals, legal entities and natural persons who transact business. Strong emphasis is put on the issue of the administrative liability of legal entities, as it is particularly their activity which is harmful for the environment. New elements of administrative punishment are analyzed as well as newly incorporated types of administrative sentences. In conclusion, the advantages and new possibilities are presented for future application in the field of punishing administrative offences against the environment.
