Postal Services Stamps can be purchased at the post office, at vending machines outside the post office and often in newspaper stores. The public mail boxes are yellow. Most post offices open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., some smaller offices may close for lunch. Main post offices have extended opening hours.
