You start in the alley Feeling the heart beat of your horse Feeling like a drum between your legs He’s getting as nervous as you are Trying to calm the shaking of your hands But being as successful as a dog trying to eat peanut butter Your horse shaking his head Just wanting you to let him go Him prancing up the alley Like a kid going to a candy shop You petting his neck trying to calm him His neck shaking under your touch But he knows his job like A bee to collect honey He is just waiting for the cue You finally let him go He pushes with all of his power Feeling like a freight train taking off Taking all your might to keep your position Trusting a 1200 pound animal One miss step and you could be flattened Like a penny on a railroad track you trust and you live for this feeling
