machines. The first machine is a Formax FXP37S: this advanced seven die machine will produce complex parts at net-shape. This impressive Formax model includes digital machine positioning, which displays the position of the heading slide on the touch screen of the operator’s control console. This allows for precise control of the heading slide to a machine position “window” – along with other features to simplify changeover. The second machine is one of the new LeanFX models, a LeanFX10M5 equipped with a Drawing Technology Inc (DTI) wire drawer. LeanFX is the newest member of the Formax family and is equipped with many of the production-proven technology features, such as: • Linear feed • Sealed heading slide liners • Zero clearance heading slide • Efficient change-over Engineers and sales representatives will be readily available to explain all of the benefits that come with National Machinery equipment and partner products, and how they can take your parts production to the next level. The exhibit will also feature Mectron Inspection systems with their newly designed Q5000 “Flex” machine along with the First Scan 150R non-contact, automatic precision measuring unit. The National team will also be prepared with details regarding their recently announced two-year warranty, the new plant for NME National Machinery Europe GmbH, LeanFX’s efficient change-over system, and the latest cold forming news. US-based Miltec UV has introduced a faster curing, more efficient, high powered UV curing system, the MPI-400. This 400-watt per inch electrodeless UV curing system outperforms the competition where it matters most. Fast cure speeds are now possible given the system’s ability to deliver the highest peak irradiance UV energy at the focal point. The MPI-400 is an excellent choice for manufacturing optical fiber, coloring of optical fiber, fiber reinforcement, polymer coatings (FRP), ribbon cable manufacturing and curing inkjet printing on labeling. Inherent benefits include long bulb life, stable UV output for the life of the bulb, low heat (IR) emissions, modular design for ease of installation, fast starting lamps eliminating the need for shutters, and much more. This unit uses less electrical consumption with energy savings of 25 percent. The MPI-400 features the patent pending quick release ADV Honeycomb RF screen. This innovative RF screen provides quick, easy bulb and component changes, giving less down time and labour savings. The ADV Honeycomb RF Screen also provides increased UV light transmission through the RF screen resulting in more UV light to the fibre and provides higher UV peak irradiance by as much as eight percent, leading to faster production. MPI-400 features include: • More energy concentration at the fiber, allowing faster curing speeds • High peak irradiance achieved using small diameter bulbs in an elliptical shaped reflector cavity so most UV light is concentrated from the reflector to its focal point where fibre is located • An enhanced design FM back reflector coupled to the lamp module reflector ensures that virtually all UV light emissions are concentrated at the focal point of the

ellipse, which is the center line of the fiber • Power supply offers dual power levels: 50% and 100% • Enhanced bulb and magnetron cooling due to Miltec’s exclusive engineered design for optimum air flow means longer bulb and magnetron life • Remote control interface allows users’ production equipment to automatically switch lamps on and off with production start and stop • System health status displayed on front control panel Miltec UV – USA Fax: +1 410 604 2906

For over 80 years, Micro Products Co has manufactured electric resistance butt welders for con- tinuous processing of steel, copper and aluminum wire, rod or cable, solid or stranded.

Micro-Weld offers over 50 models of butt welders for a wide range of sizes and applications. All welders are designed for toughness, durability, accuracy and ease of use. The company will display its HP-1 ceramic fusion welder, for welding stranded copper/aluminum conductors in disposable ceramic sleeves for containment and clean welds without burrs or flash points.
