Paramount Die Stand: 10D37 Paramount Die offers expertise in all areas of the wire drawing process.

major wire and cable manufacturers around the globe and is quickly being adopted as the package of choice for products such as fiber optics, building wire, plastic tubing and more.

Paramount’s highly automated production equipment combines high volume speed and efficiency with superior accuracy and repeatability. Average lead times have been reduced from three weeks to just less than five days by investing heavily in finished inventory. Paramount is also supplying eco-friendly products to the wire industry. The die design allows the carbide insert to be easily recycled and many customers worldwide

Headquartered in the USA since its founding 44 years ago, Rad-Con operates on a global basis, helping industries increase BAF capacities of high quality annealed wire and wire rod. The company has very specific expertise in the area of spheroidise annealing and cold heading quality wire production for the fastener and bearing industries. Rad-Con’s 100% Hydrogen Super-High Convection™ (H2SHC™) bell-type annealing furnaces (BAF) offer the highest convection flow to reduce temperature variations in a minimum amount of cycle times. Rad-Con’s AC/APEx™ system minimizes cycle time and reduces utility costs while producing decarb/soot-free wire. The company’s experience also encom- passes ferrous and non-ferrous applications in the agricultural, electrical, construction, spring, industrial and communications industries. Several wire industry trends have dramatically shaped Paramount Die Company’s development over the past 10 years. Perhaps the most dramatic has been the ever-growing trend for wire drawers to outsource their finished die requirements. As this has caused wire drawers to be become somewhat more dependent on die suppliers, great pressure has been placed on Paramount Die to increase capacity for die finishing, to reduce finished die costs, and to improve lead times. Paramount Die has been able to reduce die costs by standardizing on cost effective carbide inserts and by increasing quality and capacity through automation. The company is working to take the human factor out of the manufacturing process. Many of the highly automated machines now run on “Lights Out Operation” meaning that they will continue to produce products as long as there is raw material being fed into the system. This not only improves production output, but also improves the quality (eliminating the human aspect).

Annealing specialist Rad-Con’s main product is 100 percent hydrogen bell-type annealing equipment, along with the necessary process expertise to setup the plant.

Ideal for end-user lengths of cable, tubing, fiber optics and more, Reelex’s new ProFlex package will be on display as an innovative new shrink-wrap package that incorporates a heavy-duty handle into a single piece shrink bag. One of the of the newest, most economi- cal and environmentally friendly packag- ing options available to cable manufac- turers, ProFlex packages will cost under $0.50 per package for most products while replacing bulky spool, reel and box packaging waste with a simple recyclable PE-LD bag. With ProFlex, instead of trying to awkwardly carry spools, end-users can now carry multiple packages in one hand - leaving the other hand to open doors, carry tools, or dispense the product.

Reelex Packaging Solutions of Patterson, New York, will publicly debut two new inno- vative packaging concepts representing the future of wire and cable packaging – ProFlex™ and EcoCore™. Known as the preferred packaging method for LAN and coaxial cables for more than 30 years, Reelex packaging is a patented method of winding flexible products into a figure-eight coil featuring tangle and twist-free payout. This packaging method has become the standard for
