Authorised representative If you wish to have someone act on your behalf for your rates account, please contact the Customer Contact Centre, complete an online enquiry form on the City’s website or write to PO Box 1533 Osborne Park WA 6916, to register this information. Change of address It is your obligation to ensure the City is advised of any change in your residential or mailing address. If you are moving house, temporarily residing elsewhere, or have recently obtained a new contact number or post office box, please contact the Customer Contact Centre or complete an online enquiry form on the City’s website to inform the City. If you are a dog or cat owner please also remember to inform us of any changes to the address at which the animal resides. Concessions If you have a Pensioner Concession, State Concession, WA Senior or both a WA Senior and Commonwealth Senior Health Card you may be eligible for concessions on your rates. Please contact the Water Corporation on 1300 659 951 or online at www.watercorporation.com.au. Once your eligibility has been confirmed, the Water Corporation will pass this information to the City of Stirling and it will be registered against your rates charges. Some Pensioners are able to defer the Rates and Emergency Services Levy on their Rates Notice and only pay for the waste service, security and pool inspection (if applicable). For more information, please contact the Customer Contact Centre. eRates – receive rates via email By registering for eRates, electronic copies of your rates notices will be sent to your email address. You can sign up for eRates via our online form on the City’s website. Gross Rental Value Gross Rental Value (GRV) is the assessment method used by the Valuer General’s office to determine a reasonable rental value of a property on the basis that all outgoings and insurance is paid by the landlord. GRV is used to determine amounts payable in respect of both residential and commercial properties. If you disagree with the assessed GRV of your property, you may lodge an objection with Landgate.
