Remember – Place items loosely in the recycling bin free of plastic bags. Food waste including fruit and vegetables should be placed in the general waste bin.

Bin services for new and demolished property New properties receiving a waste service for the first time are subject to a one- off supply and establishment fee. To set up your waste service and obtain details about associated fees, please contact the Customer Contact Centre. When demolishing a residential property the City should be advised to arrange cancellation of the existing bin service. Green waste verge collection The City of Stirling operates a green waste verge collection for residents every nine months for the disposal of bulk garden and organic waste. Green waste items must be placed on the verge by the start date of the scheduled collection. Items can be placed on the verge up to nine days before your scheduled collection date and may take up to two weeks to be collected. To find out the next green waste verge collection in your area, visit the City’s website or contact the Customer Contact Centre. It is illegal to place green waste on parks, reserves, vacant land or commercial properties. Penalties apply. If you witness any illegal dumping, please contact the Customer Contact Centre. To enable green waste to be collected from your verge, please ensure: • Branches are no more than 1.5m long • 25cm diameter branches are cut to 30cm long • Green waste is not in cardboard boxes or hessian, polypropylene or plastic bags • Green waste is free of contamination.
