A cover from Jinhsien Xingshuxhen to Penglai, Shantung, bearing Luda Tien An Men $35 red (Yang AD71) tied by unusual double ring char. ‘XINGSHUZHEN POSTAL AGENT’ (杏樹鎮郵政代辨所/登沙河 ) cds in blue, repaired, with char. ‘SHANTUNG/ PENGLAI’ arrival cds. The domestic surface mail rate to another province was $35, effective from 1st Nov. 1949. Repaired at top but not affecting the stamp. Extremely rare use of this stamp on cover.
