FreightVine August 2015

the office have met /exceeded the 4-hour requirement and everyone else is scheduled to “go to school”. With all the ALX updates, these sessions have offered us the opportunity to take full advantage of our system resources—to take the next step and to look beyond the “same” way of doing things. Soon, who knows…we may be customizing reports on the “Match”, or on the WB “History” button, create custom reports, and add columns to Compute RPM, or even delve into the murky waters of the Report Server. It is easy to get stuck in a system slump and only learn or use what is needed for your everyday tasks. These classes can only expand our future opportunities. This week Big AL came to town and the GR office again will represent ACL for the 3 rd year running in the Grand Haven 2015 Coast Guard Grand Parade. Big AL visited a few of the Michigan nursery customers, and this weekend Big AL will be there to celebrate the Grand Haven’s Young Bucs’ baseball end of season. On Sunday, Big AL will even be going to church to take the kids in the youth group for a ride. The week following the Coast Guard Parade, we will be hitting the greens for the 2015 Office Golf Scramble Party. We have a few real players in the house to balance out those of us who are excited just to make contact with the ball. Swing!! And a Miss! ….Swing!!! And a Miss!!.... Swinggg!!!! Fore!!!! Truly, we enjoy the pleasure of each other’s company. Aside from the people who joined our GR team within the last 3 years, as a group we have been together from 9 to 22 years. Through good and bad economies, through personal gains and losses, we are in many ways a family:

When you walk into our office there is a feeling of camaraderie. We laugh and kid around with each other. Some days we can drive each other crazy. We arrange lunches around the nap-room couches. We know what you like or don’t like on your sandwich or pizza. We eat off each other’s plate. We tell and retell the same old stories (but still laugh). We coach each other’s kids in team sports.

We are there to support and offer solitude in each other’s sadness. We are there to High Five and celebrate the joys in each other’s life. We are Family. But we always welcome a visit, so stop on by and we’ll bake a cake.

Until then, we’ll leave the light on for you.
