GAFFANEY READY FOR KNIFEFIGHT Following their appearance at this year’s South By South West Festival, Cairo Knife Fight main man Nick Gaffaney’s has unveiled details of the band’s highly anticipated full- length debut album. Due on May 29 The Colossus was written and recorded over three countries and two continents, and found Gaffaney collaborating with a distinguished line-up of homegrown and US performers including Laughton Kora and Mark Lanegan. “This album has been a project that’s mirrored my nomadic life over the past two years” says Gaffaney. “It’s a genuine culmination of all the experiences Cairo Knife Fight has had, but also a launchpad to the band’s future musical direction.”
