Working extensively with many organic businesses, Kim’s consulting expertise has assisted these organisations to successfully launch into the U.S in ecommerce and retail (including Whole Foods Market), and be included in listings of national distributors, such as UNFI and KeHE. In Organising and leading the Annual Organic Trade Mission into the U.S Kim has also established a strong network of contacts. These include, but are not limited to, industry leaders, Organic Trade Groups, certifiers, buyers, decision makers, business owners, wholesalers, and distributors, along with organic and regenerative farmers and ranchers. With a degree in Marketing, and numerous modules of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) course completed, Kim is a well educated professional, who has a history of infinite passion for organics. exportorganics.com
This lead to Simon’s passion for organics, and years of experience in business, government, agriculture, green tech and community engagement. Throughout Simon’s career in Australia, he has held diverse roles in organics from flour miller, baker and lab technician, to landscaper, paddock to plate partner and owner of an organic ice cream business. Simon is a leader in his community, having started a local organic community garden, and served many years on the local council and business association, where he continues to contribute to green initiatives. Simon is also involved with the Organic Consumers Association of Australia, having held the position of Chair since 2020. Simon’s dedication to organics continues, with time spent at his family home mentoring others on the production of biochar and organic wine.

AORA WELCOMES NEW NATIONAL EXECUTIVE OFFICER, JOHN McKEW
John has come from a role as CEO of the Tasmanian Farmers and Graziers Association and has held CEO roles with the Australian Fodder Industry Association and Herefords Australia Ltd. He will take up the position in late 2022 and will be located in Ballarat, Victoria. John joins at an exciting time for the organisation, with a charter to drive AORA’s 10-year roadmap for the industry.
