Model Three: Organization Leads & World Impact Coaches From the beginning, the organization takes responsibility for the CP effort, including cost, staff, facilities, equipment, including WI consulting and travel expenses Organization plans from the beginning to plant a sister church, with their own staff (either bi-vocational or full-time) heading the effort. WI provides either coaching of on-going input to the team members, or specialized training to equip team members for their task

Organization takes responsibility for the church plant, maintaining an informed, open, and fraternal relationship with World Impact Organization takes full charge of the process from the start, both in terms of the church planters and the church, and World Impact creates a fraternal relationship in terms of Churches will be planted both by World Impact and by our fraternal partners Helps us to create an active network of like-minded organizations committed to the same end, sharing ideas, resources, and opportunities in urban ministry Need for ongoing connection and communication in order to make the fraternal relationship useful and meaningful; may be paper partnership only education and encouragement

Organization provides team members (either bi-vocational or full-time), while World Impact provides a Team Leader who cares for, manages, sets standards, and assignments, training indigenous leaders, and determining an exit plan Church may become sister church of sending organization, or some alternative affiliation

People join World Impact as full-time and short-term missionaries, going through normal application process, and initial orientation with MOTC

Anticipated Strengths

while remaining available to other organizations for partnerships

Unrealistic to think that dynamic growth can simply occur by adding staff alone; tendency to be slower and more cumbersome; may limit the number and kind of staff needed for a church plant movement

May have confusing authority and oversight issues; lines of communication and authority may be strained

Limited World Impact involvement may either cheapen or lessen the validity of our training and coaching
