3. In the Church we declare and protect the Apostolic witness to Jesus Christ.

(1 Corinthians 15.1, NKJV) Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the Gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, [15:2] by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you; unless you believed in vain. [15:3] For I delivered to you first of all that which I also received: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, [15:4] and that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures.

(Galatians 1.8, NKJV) But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other Gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. [1.9] As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other Gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

(1 John 1.1, NKJV) That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, concerning the Word of life; [1.2] the life was manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and declare to you that eternal life which was with the Father and was manifested to us; [1.3] that which we have seen and heard we declare to you, that you also may have fellowship with us; and truly our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ.

4. God reveals his eternal grace and loving-kindness through the witness of local assemblies of believers.

(Ephesians 3.4, NASB) And by referring to this, when you read you can understand my insight into the mystery of Christ, [3.5] which in other generations was not made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in the Spirit; [3.6] to be specific, that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the Gospel, [3.7] of which I was made a minister, according to the gift of God’s grace which was given to me according to the working of his power. [3.8] To me, the very least of all saints, this grace was given, to preach to the Gentiles the unfathomable riches of Christ, [3.9] and to bring to light what is the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God, who created all things; [3.10] in order that the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known through the Church to the rulers and the authorities in the heavenly places.

B. The Church as agent of good works which testify to the reality of the Kingdom.
