About this report

Another significant contributor was the manufacturing of paper used by customers in our products, which accounted for 16% of Hewlett-Packard Company’s water footprint in 2015. To reduce these impacts, HP Inc. encourages customers to use paper efficiently (such as through duplex printing), to use lower-impact paper, and to recycle paper after use. (For more information, see the Paper section). Through 2015, Hewlett-Packard Company reduced freshwater consumption per employee at office sites by 26% compared to 2010, achieving its goal of a 20% decrease by 2020. During 2016, we intend to establish a new goal regarding water use in operations, and will include it in our next sustainability report.
