Bolts connecting the brace beams to the gusset plates of the main bridge truss were installed with the nuts being placed on the outer face of the gusset along grid BR and BQ at all the vertical gussets, roof level, refer to photo 1 in the attached report. Bolts were drawn head-side out to minimize the size of the truss enclosure. The orientation was discussed with the contractor during fabrication, and commented on in the shop drawing review. Contractor to reverse the bolt installation to have the head of the bolts located on the outer face of the gusset to match HOK’s design drawing and the approved shop drawing comments from submittal CB-631-05120-07082-R1 on sheet 03-004A.
