Concrete pads poured for equipment prior to Spearhead installation of 3rd floor wall. The concrete pads, along with free hanging ductwork, prevented Spearhead from using lifts to access underside of deck, above. Without coordination or proper sequencing of trades, Spearhead built wall from aerial boom, 70 feet below. Lack of schedule, or even 2- week look-ahead, created: 1. Unnecessary safety risk 2. Loss of Productivity 3. Work requirements different than what was bid - Spearhead expected access to its work areas from the floor slab, not the ground 70’ below.
