Team, In response to this email, we discussed about coming up with another solution which would allow all of our trades to work above this area with no interruptions. Spearhead reached out to Safway and met them onsite twice to discuss the solutions. We were cost conscious and with a little effort was able to get them to revise the platform and reduce the original price. Attached you will find the original proposal from Safway, their rigging solution shown in elevation, as well as our CO for the time spent coordinating this and the allowable mark-up for this work. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions or comments. From: Trause, Zachary Sent: Thursday, March 21, 2019 3:42 PM To: Sean; Mock, Brian Cc: Corallo, Frank; Tia, Chung; Andee; Gary Subject: RE: LGA - PBB - Escalator Sean – Right now we are planning to begin install of the escalators in mid/end of June, though we will provide better updates once steel de-shoring is complete. Installation of the (4) escalators by KONE is approximately 12 weeks total. Each of the (4) escalators comes in (4) truss sections. The sections get rigged, set into place, and spliced together. We are still working with KONE on the rigging  and install plan at this time. Once all of the trusses are set in place and spliced together, KONE will begin working on the escalator decking, balustrades, and steps. No work can take place above the escalator work zone during their installation. I’m not sure what is meant by method of attachments, unless you are speaking about KONE’s own attachments to the upper and lower pits. See shop drawings for reference to the units and their details at the bearing plates. Let me know if any further information or specific items needed at this time. We can always set up a coordination meeting with KONE and Spearhead as needed. Thank you.
