T ia @ s kan s ka . c o m > Brian, To capture what we discussed on the phone this afternoon. 1. We will have our finisher touch up the finish on the mock-up when he is there next week. He will be doing our finishing work on your offices. 2. I just sent the control joint verification drawings to you for review. The drawings show the joint between the GFRC and the gypsum shaft, and reiterates that it's basic caulk and backer rod. This was clarified in the RFI Spearhead 08 (# 0075). I believe that all of the joints will be the same NTS, white, paintable type. They were receptive to the idea, but need to provide a couple items for their buy in. 1. LGP was concerned about the finish and wanted to see the mockup with a smooth level 5 finish and paint. I think a coat of spackle and a smaller roller nap would clean this up on the existing mockup we have at our office. We can walk CCB before or after our Tuesday meeting to see their expectation for the GFRG surfaces. A GFRG sample from Plasterform will also help the comparison. They were also concerned about the texture of gyp board to GFRG and GFRC surfaces, which brings me to the next item 2. LGP is concerned about any joint or reveal between the Gyp Board and GFRC for cleaning and aesthetic purposes. I discussed the concern about taping over the joint, but would like us to explore any caulking or other means we could use to create a smooth finish. We can discuss more next week. Have a nice weekend. Thank you, The information contained in this email message is legally privileged and confidential information intended solely for the use of the intended recipient(s).
