The telegraphic un-rice ranks under the State. In 1924 the­ re were in Deniark 928 tele­ graph-stations and the aggre­ gate lines amounted to 15,000 Kilometers. About 4% million telegrams were sent, half of which were to or from abroad. The main-station, open day and night, has its office on Knbmagergade 37. About 20 other stations are spread over the different districts of the City. The price for an inland telegram of 10 words or less is 1 K r. (telegrams in the city 75 0re) ; every additio­ nal word is paid with 10 0 re. The price for telegrams to abroad depend on the rate of

the Krone. A t present the prices are as follows: To the Faroe Islands 40 0 re pr. word, to Iceland 58 0 re pr. word.
