sold by the late K ing Georg of Greece. From 1884 to 1918 the Supreme Court had its rooms there. Now the inside has been restored thoroughly, corre­ sponding to the beautiful exterior of the palace og containing a number of fine­ ly equipped offices for the »Baltica«. The opposite corner, for­ merly Prince Frederik of Hesses Palace, is owned by llornung and Mailer, who have installet their renowned manufactory of pianos there, besides having arranged a small stylish concert-hall. A t the end of Frederiks- gade to the right is Amalien­ borg Square (see chapter 9)

Thus the big insurance com­ pany »Baltica« bought the corner property of Frederiks- gade, the old King Georgs Palace, built in the middle of the 18th century by count Joachim Bernstorff and sin­ ce then occupied by different princely persons, until it was
