ANNUAL REPORT Fire & Rescue

2020-2021 was a busy year at New Gloucester Fire & Rescue (NGFR). We underwent a change in leadership while experiencing a larger call vol ume and dealing with Covid. We continued to dedicate all of our efforts to meet the service needs of our great community. I would like to thank Deputy Chief Bouchard, EMS Chief Rich, Captain Fitzgerald and Lieutenant Gill for their dedication and professionalism in running the department during a tumultuous year and for all of their sup port since I arrived. I would also like to thank Tim Joy for his years of ser vice to the residents of New Gloucester as a valued member of the Fire Department. We wish him well on his new adventures in North Carolina. He will be missed! The NGFD per-diem program continued to work hard to meet the expec tation of the community and we are very proud that we have maintained the ability to provide Advanced Life Support (ALS) coverage all 365 days. I am proud of our per diem staff and their professionalism and dedication to their mission. As the community continues to grow, so does the call volume. We are con stantly reviewing our potential in all areas of service delivery. This is truly an exciting time for the NGFR as we continue to grow our membership and per-diem program. We will continue serving our community, we are proud of the work we do and are thankful for the support we receive from our community. We want to thank everyone who helped make 2020-2021 a safe and successful year!
