*On graduation you’ll be a registered member of the Society of Sports Therapists. This means you’ll be eligible to apply for Professional Liability Insurance which will enable you to practise as a qualified sports therapist

This course is accredited with the Society of Sports Therapists, which means you’ll graduate ready to work as a qualified and fully-insured therapist. You’ll benefit from hands-on experience, working as part of multi-disciplinary teams to treat sports injuries and conditions. You’ll study modules that have been informed by industry, covering assessment, diagnosis, treatment and prevention of injury. Our sporting campus is the perfect place for you to learn, whether assisting with pitchside first aid or working as part of our busy sports injury clinic. Industry opportunities You’ll undertake a minimum of 200 hours of in-practice work experience to ensure you’re industry ready when you graduate. You can also gain extra qualifications such as sports massage, taping or first aid alongside your studies.* You could go on industry trips and attend conferences to gain insights into current practice.** This course is ideal for those who have a passion for sport and exercise and want to work with athletes or in community sports to help people be at, and sustain, peak performance. Develop your skills with practising industry professionals and work with athletes on campus. Graduate destinations • Sports Therapist, Tamworth Football Club • Sports Therapy Internship, Newport Gwent Dragons • Postgraduate study • Self-employed Sports Therapist in a private clinic • Roles within the NHS or Ministry of Defence Qualify as an accredited sports therapist, learning in a professional sports club-style environment.

Richard has worked in lead physiotherapist and medical services roles at Gloucester, Bristol, Bath and London Irish rugby clubs, as well as the England U21s and the NHS. He’s course director for the RFU Level 2 PHICIS (immediate care) qualification and currently our Hartpury RFC lead physiotherapist
