Borealis 2015-2016

I’ll allow his circling eyes to overpower my brilliance. “You’ve got a problem with not seeing what’s right in front of you. You refuse to let the underdog take the blame. All the signs point to him!” His voice perches hoarse; I can’t remain static any longer. “I don’t recall you swabbing that place to the bone? You have the written word and the spoken statements. I possess the ruins of a scene and study the circumstances—” “That I have to give to you.” “Not always. Even when we do collide during work, I take your information differently than you do.” “Fine, then you go talk to the thatcher if you think he’s so innocent.” “That’s not my department,” I state, seeing his face jostle a sanguine complexion. “Then why are you butting into it so much?” He scratches from his diaphragm as if I wasn’t being clear. “Your work doesn’t match up with mine; just because I’m eccentric, doesn’t mean I’m not right,” I purse. His patience thins with his lips. “Then prove me wrong. Think of it that way, and let me finish what I have to do. Just don’t come bitching to me when you realize you are the one who’s wrong,” he fades and flatlines when his door slams shut. If you want something done right, you’ve gotta do it yourself.
