Borealis 2015-2016

Special Acknowledgments Skye Iwanski Skye created our gorgeous astrological themed cover with only the tools of acrylics, gold paint, and eyeliner. She’s been an honorary editor in the making of the magazine and large contributor to the content (pictures and poem). Regina Lobner Regina supplied the magazine with a plethora of elegant nature sketches that filled all of the lonely spaces in our magazine. She kindly allowed us to put her pictures in multiple categories other than her own to help make the magazine complete. Cole Lato Cole submitted five of his drawings to the magazine at the start, but the editors saw the potential for the unique designs to fit along with the zodiac theme instead of pulling generic photos from the Internet. We commissioned seven more drawings to complete the wheel and cover each sign and are extremely pleased with the results. Aaron Ramponi Never once did Mr. Ramponi doubt our idea to revive Borealis here at North, and from day one, he was eager to help us dive into the first steps and set up the resurrection. Even through his paternity leave, Mr. Ramponi guided us through the convoluted me- chanics of Indesign and kept us encouraged all the way through. We’re hopeful that he’s proud of this long awaited, literary accomplishment. Without the constant support of Mr. Ramponi, you wouldn’t be reading these words, on this page, in this magazine, right now. Contributors A final thank you for all the students that sent in their submissions to make this literary magazine what it is today. This literary magazine would not have been able to become a reality without those of you who contributed. Thank you all so much for becoming a part of something that will be remembered as a part of North’s history.
