CANADA’SGREATESTPASTIME No, it’s not hockey. At least according to some design experts who believe renovating is our nation’s current favourite activity. HGTV, Houzz and Pinterest provide a constant feed of inspiration and the allure of sharing our latest projects on Facebook and Instagram is too strong to ignore. Homeowners are no longer content to let the decades slip by without updating the kitchen, bathroom, lighting and repainting once, twice… or more. So, what’s it all about? Buying a fixer upper and renovating it to be perfectly you is one solution to the rising cost of houses. Plus, those reno shows and design social media darlings make it look so fun. Just don’t kid yourself into believing there isn’t a lot of hidden work. Work that truly can be fun, but work just the same. 2018 INTERIORDESIGNTRENDS… SOFAR Interior design trends are always in flux and while most homeowners don’t change their paint colour every time a new “colour of the year” is announced, it can still be fun to integrate some of the latest trendy items and features. Here’s a breakdown of what’s been making an appearance in people’s homes so far this year. Nature-inspired spaces. WHATAM I? I'm clean when I'm black. Dirty when white. Get too close and you might sneeze. What am I?
The more you take, the more you leave behind. What am I?
I have a head, a tail, am brown and have no legs. What am I?
