Automatic squeeze pointers for high quality drawn pipes

Kent Corporation receives orders for two large accumulators Kent Corporation, USA, has received orders for two new horizontal accumulators in North America. The customer has new mills that will be producing pipe sizes up to 10" (254mm) diameter and 0.630" (16mm) wall thickness. The company was chosen due to its reputation and vast experience in accumulator systems of all sizes and the ability to run a large range of sizes on one machine. Kent now has over 2,000 accumulators running worldwide in 54 different countries. A highlight of this machine is the ‘follow-on’ jaw closing system, which mechanically ensures all 4 jaws move at the same time and permits achieving any square end size with just one type of jaw. The Siemens operator panel, which is connected to the PLC by a loop, sets the control of all functions. It also operates all parameters of the machine, including cycle selection, jaws opening/closing measures and speed ratio, automatic lubrication adjustment, strokes counter, and recipe management.
