For HV and EHV cables, the new conical THC 70/160 crosshead with bi-flow distributors for triple-layers will be highlighted. For micro-wires used in hand-held devices, overall diameters are shrinking down to the order of a tenth of a millimetre for solid insulation. Physically foamed dual layer constructions are slightly larger.
