The Inland Southern California flagship teaching university is CSU San Bernardino (CSUSB), which has an economic impact of $536.5million. Like UCR, it is also designated as an HSI by the U.S. Department of Education and is highly-successful at graduating a diverse workforce in several fields of relevance to Amazon—most notably, cybersecurity.

CSUSB is one of the top universities in the nation for training students in cyber security and is one of 30 universities nationwide that participates in the National Science Foundation’s (NSF) Federal Cyber Service: Cybercorps scholarship program. CSUSB has also received awards for training under-representedminority students in STEM fields, including $1.6million fromNSF for its Proactive Recruitment in Introductory Science

and Mathematics (PRISM) program. The National Security Agency and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security first designated CSUSB as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance in 2008. Since then, CSUSB has been named as a Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense/Information Assurance through 2021.
