Hoods and Enclosures Laminar Flow Powder Hoods

Flow Sciences’ Contained Vented Enclosure (CVE) / Laminar Flow Powder Hood series comes with a built-in exhaust system that is also compatible with house systems to suit various benchtop / scale-up operations and nanotech- nology applications. CVE enclosures use airfoils and plenums to create a laminar airflow across the work surface, reducing eddies and turbu- lence in order to ensure reproducibility, accu- racy and containment below 1μg/m 3 . Each unit comes with a face velocity alarm; acrylic walls for added visibility; and a chemically resistant, dished phenolic base to maintain spills and pro- tect the work surface from harmful chemicals.

Exhaust Port 6” Thimble connects to house system or can be recirculated back into the lab

Face Velocity Alarm FS1650 face velocity alarm alerts the operator when airflow is com- promised Bag-In / Bag-out HEPA HEPA change out system that allows for safe removal and re- placement of the primary 4” HEPA filter LED Light LED light to illuminate the work surface Top and Rear Plenums Top and rear plenums are used to direct airflow and maintain containment at the face open- ing. These also prevent particles from possibly falling back onto the work surface if the fan is turned off. Front Lift Doors Hinged front doors that lift for easy loading and unloading of equipment. Airfoils Airfoils staged around the perim- eter of the face opening stabi- lize the airflow, improve laminar airflow and improve containment along the leading edge. Dished Base Dished phenolic base captures accidental liquid and powder spills

Lead time is 8-9 weeks.
