Q: I’m totally over dragging myself out of bed every morning and never really feeling great day in and out for years now. I know I can’t keep going like this and expect to be well. Looking in the mirror these days, it’s hard to believe that I used to be extremely fit and full of energy. Now that person feels like someone I used to know and can hardly even remember. I’m horrified to have just been diagnosed with high blood pressure and I’m not even close to 50. According to the doctor my liver is also evidently not too flash either. So I’m finally ready to do whatever it takes before all my wheels fall off, but need some direction. I’ve tried to go the natural way on my own, but the net is a never ending minefield of conflicting information and Dr Google has nearly driven me crazy. Without any real plan to run with, I just keep going in circles trying different diets, pills, potions and supplements that all haven’t worked anyway. I’m also now taking medication for type 2 diabetes and even though I hate it, have been told I’ll never be able to get off it again. Is this really true and what can I do to go forward instead of further backwards? I’m extremely worried more drugs will be prescribed to me soon and definitely don’t want to go there. Please help.
